Gabrielshof and Königstraße

Back to tour

“For some time (I) have nurtured the idea of founding a meeting place for wise men and a place to keep the Torah” wrote court agent Gabriel Hirsch Fränkel in 1707 in the deed of foundation for the private synagogue and Talmudic school known as the ‘Gabrielschul’. Directly opposite the former synagogue courtyard is a gateway to the Gabrielshof.
