The municipal park

Nowadays, the municipal park with its rose gardens, playgrounds, lawns and pond graced with swans provides a green oasis for people to relax and while away the day.
Its history dates back to the mid nineteenth century when Johann Wilhelm Engelhardt, machine factory owner and richest man in Fürth had trees and shrubs planted around the edges of the old cemetery.
